Zebra Technologies is an American manufacturer of automatic identification equipment. Its label printers work in shops, warehouses, factories and delivery: desktop models for low and medium volumes, industrial printers for continuous work, mobile printers carried by the operator and print engines for automated lines.

What sets the brand apart

Zebra printers use the ZPL language, which many ERP and WMS systems generate directly; this simplifies integration. Most ranges come in direct thermal versions, for short-life labels, and thermal transfer versions, for durable labels; see our guide direct thermal or thermal transfer. Print width and resolution (203, 300 or 600 dpi) depend on the model and are confirmed against the specification.

Main ranges

ZD220, ZD421 and ZD621

Desktop printers for the shop, the office and dispatch: product labels, price labels and AWB. The ZD220 is the entry model, the ZD421 is for daily work and the ZD621 is the higher-end option, including RFID UHF versions.

ZT111, ZT231, ZT411 and ZT610

Industrial printers for the warehouse and production, built for shift work. The ZT111 and ZT231 open the range, the ZT411 is the all-round model and the ZT610 is for high volumes and production lines; the 6-inch models are the ZT421 and ZT620.

ZQ

Belt-worn mobile printers for labels and receipts at the shelf, in the warehouse or on delivery, connected wirelessly to a mobile computer or phone.

ZE511 and ZE521 print engines

How we work

1. Describe the label

Size, material, what is printed, how many labels a day and how long they have to last.

2. We choose the model

One or two Zebra options with the right print method and resolution.

3. We add the consumables

Label rolls and wax, wax-resin or resin ribbons, matched to the surface and the working environment.

4. We set up and test

Driver, templates, connection to your ERP, WMS or POS and a test on your real labels.
